Welcome to the Basstream Radio “Gliitch EP” Sample Pack Contest!

[O]>Rules, Regulations, and Info<[O]

* Produce a “glitch” oriented track for submissions for the contest.
* The tracks must be complete and submitted by November 16th 2010, and the winners will be revealed the following Tuesday November 23rd live on Basstream Radio on Glitch.fm.
* You must use a minimum of 20 total samples from the Basstream sample pack, and at least one vocal from the pack.
* You can use other samples and instruments not included in the sample pack.
* You are allowed to submit an unlimited number of tracks for the contest.
* Genres include(glitchy): Dubstep | Breakbeat | Glitch Hop | Midtempo | Drumstep | Downtempo | the glichier the better!
* After the deadline ends on November 16th 2010. we will pick the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners to be featured on the “Gliitch” EP which will be released on Substruk Records and available at most online record shops inc. Addictech, iTunes, Junodownload, Digital-Tunes, Chemical Records etc.
* Will release up to (10) submitted tracks on the Gliitch EP
* Please don’t share or post high quality versions of your tunes until after the contest ends. We will put them on our Soundcloud at low res for promotion to the public.

First of all, if you’re reading this, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your day.  This is my first actual attempt at a “real” blog so please forgive me if if my grammar and punctuation isn’t up to your standard! ha!

I’m starting this blog as a way to communicate with those I’ve met along the way, those I have yet to meet, and well, of course, the masses!  I’ll be posting recollections of my journeys and travels as well as random outbursts of my point of view.  I notice that most of the time, I usually have quite a lot to say.  Over the years, I’ve found that public forums and social networks sometimes aren’t the best places to voice some of my rants and opinions.

But don’t worry!  This blog is much more than a audacious attempt to publicize my partially ego-driven life.  (Workin on that )  I will also be posting other content and info including but not limited to: cutting edge music and technology, electronic music culture, art, events, couture, jokes, and maybe even a little encouraging psycho-babble.

I find myself truly blessed to grow up in this culture and to live in a time where the level of human consciousness is at it’s highest in history.  More people from all walks of life from all over the world are becoming aware of the true reason we live our day to day lives…to love and create.   It’s a time where we have only recently realized the potential of our minds, and are beginning to use them for something much bigger than ourselves.  I believe that by learning the arts of awareness, gratitude, and giving, we can potentially change the current course of our future and ultimately cease the demise of the human race.

My main objective here is to assist in this new universal movement by helping educate others of the importance of positivity and creativity in our lives.  If you have smiled, laughed, learned, or were just moved by some music or art posted here, then this was well worth it.  We are all constantly learning together in this illusion and our potential reaches beyond the stars when we know that we are all one.
